  • At least two years of post-qualification practice Counted from the date your independent practice began.
  • Active professional indemnity or malpractice cover Cover must extend to remote consultations in the regions you serve.
  • Government issued photo identification Passport, national identity card, or driving licence.
  • A device with a working camera and a stable connection Any laptop, tablet, or phone from the last five years is sufficient.
  • Working fluency in English or a supported local language You can list several languages so patients can filter for you.

  • Licence Confirmation At Source

    We contact the national or state medical authority that issued your licence and confirm it is active and free of restrictions. A copy you send us is never treated as proof on its own.

  • Identity Match

    Your photo identification is matched against the name and registration number held by the issuing authority, so the person consulting is the person licensed.

  • Professional Standing Review

    We check public disciplinary registers and confirm your hospital or clinic affiliations where these are listed on your application.

  • Ongoing Monitoring

    Verification is repeated annually, and patient feedback is reviewed continuously. Your profile shows the date of your most recent successful check.

What Can Delay An Application

  • A licence number entered with a missing character or a transposed digit. Copy it straight from the certificate.
  • Documents photographed at an angle so an edge or a seal is cut off.
  • A name on your identification that differs from the name on your registration, for example after marriage, with no supporting document explaining the change.
  • An indemnity policy that covers in-person practice only and excludes remote consultations.
  • An issuing authority that answers verification requests slowly. We will tell you if this is the cause and give you a revised date.

Payouts run on a two week cycle to your nominated bank account or payment provider. Cancellations made by a patient less than two hours before the appointment are paid to you in full. There is no charge for listing, for profile changes, or for pausing your availability.

Does it cost anything to join Doctiplus

No. There is no application fee, no listing fee, and no monthly subscription. Doctiplus takes a percentage of completed consultations only, so if your calendar is closed you owe nothing.

How long does verification actually take

Three to five business days once your documents are uploaded. The variable is how quickly your issuing authority responds to our verification request. If yours is slow, we will email you with a revised date rather than leave you waiting.

Can I stay listed while working at my hospital or clinic

Yes. There is no exclusivity clause and no minimum hours. Many doctors on the platform use Doctiplus for evenings, weekends, or specific gaps in an existing clinic schedule. You control your calendar entirely.

Which patients can I consult, and what about cross-border rules

You can consult patients in any region where your licence and indemnity cover permit remote practice. During onboarding we map your registration against the regions you are eligible to serve, and the platform only shows you to patients inside that set. Prescribing rules are applied per region automatically.

How and when am I paid

Payouts run every two weeks to your nominated bank account or payment provider, with an itemised statement covering every consultation in the period. Your first payout lands at the end of the cycle in which your first consultation was completed.

What happens if my application is not approved

We tell you which specific check did not pass and whether it can be resolved. Most declined applications are fixable, usually a lapsed registration or indemnity cover that excludes remote consultations. You can reapply as soon as the issue is corrected, and there is no waiting period.

Do I need special equipment or software

No. The consultation room, prescribing tools, and patient notes all run in the browser. Any laptop, tablet, or phone from the last five years with a working camera and a stable connection is enough.

Can I remove my profile later

Yes. You can pause bookings instantly from the dashboard, or request full removal of your profile at any time. Removal is completed within seven days and your documents are deleted in line with the retention policy.
